Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinct mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. Avery Sunshine's work has led her all over the world, from Broadway to European events and clubs, to even at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing piano and singing in church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training on the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You the House, was released only in Japan. It's been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of the nation during four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
